Chinese Tea Ceremony at EasyMandarin

EasyMandarin students got to experience and taste Chinese culture with an authentic traditional Chinese tea ceremony held on the school campus overlooking Jing’an Temple.

Tea Ceremony

The tea master, Li Xue, lives in the mountains in Fujian Province and for more than 20 years has been practing and teaching about Chinese tea culture. During what felt like meditation, participants were first asked to close their eyes and relax while focusing on their breathing. This was followed by smelling the strong tea aroma and tasting different types of Chinese tea, including one special type of tea from a 500 year old tree. A truly fragrent experience!
