Not available in the daytime? This weekday evening Mandarin course is generally for those working in Shanghai during the daytime or for those that prefer to study a few times per week in the evening. Classes meet Mondays and Wednesdays from 7:00pm to 9:00pm or Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7:00pm to 9:00pm.

Beginner Evening Group Course Details
Introduction: If you have no Chinese language experience at all or know just a few basic phrases, the beginner level is probably the best place to start. You can test your Chinese level with our online test if you want a better idea of where you would fit in. Click the ‘Sections’ or ‘Contents’ tabs for more course details.
Sections: The Beginner level includes four sections – Total Beginner, Lower Beginner, Middle Beginner, and Upper Beginner and includes a total of 120 hours of mandarin lessons.
Contents: Students will learn more than 1000 words, 200 sentences, and 130 grammar points. This will enable students to use and understand simple communication in daily life, such as: greetings, self introduction, shopping, bargaining, taking public transportation, making appointments, ordering food, seeing the doctor, booking tickets, renting an apartment, etc. Furthermore, the Beginner level will prepare students for EasyMandarin’s Intermediate level.

Register nowIntermediate Evening Group Course Details
Introduction: If you have completed the Beginner course or learned Chinese in the past and have a vocabulary of approximately 1000 words, you may find that the Intermediate course is suitable for you.

Sections: This level consists of 3 sections – Lower Intermediate, Middle Intermediate, and Upper Intermediate and includes a total of 180 hours of mandarin study. It is suitable for students who have completed the Beginner level or those that possess a vocabulary of approximately 1000 words.
Contents: Students will learn more than 1500 words and 700 sentences, as well as 450 grammar points. The contents of each lesson focus on topics concerning foreigner experiences in China including living in, working in, or sightseeing within China. All of the texts are composed of dialogue using conversational Chinese from everyday situations.
